How to Apply

You can apply for a course at Cardonald in two different ways - by applying online or by downloading an application form and posting the completed form to us.  Download the form by clicking this link International Application Form

Before applying we recommend you read the information on fees, entry requirements and English language proficiency.

1.Applying online

You can apply online for any of our courses. Visit the course entry page for the subject in which you are interested. For example, if you are interested in HNC Applied Science, go to this course on the website and click on the 'Apply' button. If you wish to apply for more than one course, please complete a separate application form.

2. Downloading an application form

Click here to download our application form. Complete all sections clearly stating your choice of course and start date.

Whether you chose to apply online or by downloading an application form, please follow these steps to ensure we can process your application as quickly and efficiently as possible.

STEP 1 Fill out an application form

Apply as early as possible but at least three months before the start of your course

Complete all sections, clearly stating your choice of course and start date

You must provide evidence of your academic qualifications, your level of English language proficiency and a copy of your passport with photo ID.

You must also provide a written statement of why you want to study your chosen course and explain how you will use this learning after you have completed studying.

Please ensure we have a reliable method of contacting you, ideally an email address if you are overseas or telephone number if you are in the UK. If you have access to Skype video call, then please provide your Skype contact details.

STEP 2 Receipt of application

Within 7 days of receiving your application, we will acknowledge the receipt via email and ask for any further information or documentation required to make a decision.

STEP 3 Decision to make an offer

The course leader at Cardonald College Glasgow will assess your written application to make sure that you have suitable academic qualifications to meet the requirements of your chosen course. If your written application shows that we think you have the necessary entry requirements, we will also wish to speak to you, preferably by Skype video call or by telephone. This can be arranged in person if you are in the UK, or by phone or Skype if you are overseas.

You will be notified of the decision of an UNCONDITIONAL OFFER within 7 days of acknowledging your application, receiving all requested documentation and having spoken to you.

This UNCONDITIONAL offer means that we have assessed your evidence of academic achievement and English language proficiency and consider that you have the necessary qualifications to commence study at Cardonald College Glasgow.

STEP 4 Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

We will convert this UNCONDITIONAL offer to a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) once we receive your full fee or deposit (by arrangement) to secure your student place at Cardonald College Glasgow. Find out more about fees and how to pay them here.

This will be registered online with the UK Border Agency. You will then be able to use this CAS to apply for a visa to study in the United Kingdom.

STEP 5 Student visa application

You must pay your full fee, or deposit by arrangement, and have received your CAS from Cardonald College Glasgow before applying for your student visa.

STEP 6 Payment of full fee

Prior to arrival in the UK, Cardonald College Glasgow must be in receipt of full payment of your remaining course fees before you enter the UK.
