Natural Talent On Show At Museum
1 June 2010

Cardonald College Glasgow Higher Photography students hosted an exhibition of their work at Scotland Street Museum this week.
The students were challenged to capture original images from nature for a photography competition organised by Cardonald HND Communications students Emma Campbell and Elisa Smyth and judged by renowned fine art photographer, Ron O'Donnell.
The winning image featured a young Pakistani girl making bricks by hand and was taken by Shanila Lodhi. The study reflected the daily reality of ordinary life in Pakistan. Shanila, who was thrilled to have her work selected, said: "I am delighted to have won. I love taking pictures and going to different places"
The runners up were Lisa Berry with her detailed close up of a slumbering swan and Stuart Cuthbertson who captured a heron in its natural habitat
Ron O'Donnell, said: "All the students' work should be highly commended. For students to put their work on a wall for comment is a brave thing to do."
